Portable chargers have to be practical in design as well as in performance. The latest product in the Anker portable chargerfamily tries to combine exactly that. Design and style, meets functionality and performance power.

Portable chargers have become a hit in recent years. While the concept is not really new, the newest renditions of portable chargers for smartphones and tablets have made it possible to have some highly needed competition in this field.

Only a few years back, big smartphone companies had the market cornered with their high-end (and often high-priced) portable chargers. The biggest flaw with those chargers was that they usually were bound to the devices the manufacturer made. So, if you wanted to buy a portable charger from one brand, you had to make sure you were using the smartphone from that same brand as well.

This changed once the global market saw the potential people saw in portable chargers. The frustrating feeling of having low or no battery when you needed it the most on your device become a thing of the past, and portable chargers became extremely popular with travelers and people who rely on their smartphones and tablets for business. That’s why we’re going to put the new Anker model to the test and see how it performs in the new portable charger market.

  • Capacity : 10000mAh
  • Weight : 4 ounces
  • Size: 3.6 x 2.4 x 0.9 inches
18-month warranty
High charging
Great capacity
Button needs to be pushed in order to start charging the device
LED indicators not as good as with previous models

The “Anker PowerCore 10000 Portable Charger” model is a great rendition of a product that promises a lot and knows how to deliver on those promises. The Anker brand has made it clear over the years that it stands for style and performance and with this portable charger, it definitely tries to defend that title.

However, when compared to the previous models, there are a lot of things that could be done better. First of all, the LED indicators in the previous Anker models were much better. Another down side is the button that needs to be pushed in order to make the device start charging. This can be frustrating when forgetting to push it and coming back two hours later only to find it didn’t charge at all.

The first product we compared the “Anker PowerCore 10000 Portable Charger” with was the “UNU Superpak 15000mAh 4.4A Portable Charger External Battery Pack” model. This powerful device promises an astonishing capacity of 15000mAh and delivers with ease on that promise. The slick design and style of the device speak volumes about the exterior; however, the interior is a completely different story. The Anker model might have a slight disadvantage in terms of capacity, but it makes up for it in terms of reliability and performance speed.

Another model that got our hopes up was the “Wish House 15000mAh High Capacity Dual USB Power Bank for Select Models”, which is another powerhouse in terms of capacity. Its design and style might not be for everyone, but it definitely could find a fan base for it. In terms of performance, this Wish House product can definitely fulfill no wishes at all. It’s not versatile and you have to buy the exact charger for your model, or else it won’t work with the speed it promises.

The “Anker PowerCore 10000 Portable Charger” might not be the best portable charger in terms of capacity, but it is definitely the best when it comes to delivering the things it promises. In comparison with the other similar products on this list,  the Anker portable charger is simply the better choice, as simple as that.

We’ve come across some great performances while using the two devices we compared the Anker charger to, but nothing comes close if considering the whole package. Great capacity, best performance and a reasonable price makes this model a must-have if you’re in the market for a reliable portable charger. The “Anker PowerCore 10000 Portable Charger” is simply a powerhouse of a portable charger and it will suit everyone’s needs with great ease.
